Magnetic resonance imaging of acute pancreatitis: the pancreatogram.

چکیده
CONTEXT Acute pancreatitis has been reported in many cases after therapeutic ERCP. CASE REPORT We report the case of a 65 year man old who, after ERCP, manifested biologically acute pancreatitis. The patient was observed using dynamic MR pancreatography with secretin administration before and after the ERCP. The dynamic MR pancreatography prominently displays a radiological sign of early chronic pancreatitis: the pancreatogram. CONCLUSION Our case demonstrates a new sign of biologically acute pancreatitis in dynamic MR pancreatography: the pancreatogram.

Diagnosis of acute pancreatitis by diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging.
Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging has emerged as a successful technique in the early diagnosis of acute pancreatitis. An 82-year-old male patient suspected of acute pancreatitis refused to undergo intravenous contrast-enhanced abdominal computed tomography due to a history of previous allergic reactions to contrast medium. He was imaged with diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance ima...
متن کاملClinical Significance of Diffusion Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging on Treatment Efficacy in MS Patients With Acute Attacks
Background: Despite the existence of various imaging methods, the accurate diagnosis of many neurodegenerative diseases is still controversial. The use of advanced imaging techniques, such as the diffusion weighted imaging can be help the early detection of MS and evaluation of the treatment efficacy in these patients. Materials and method: 24 MS patients with acute attack and thirty healthy s...
متن کاملIntraductal Tubular Carcinoma of the Pancreas: a Case Report with the Imaging Findings
We describe here a case of intraductal tubular carcinoma of the main pancreatic duct. Gadolinium-enhanced pancreas magnetic resonance (MR) imaging showed an enhancing mass that was confined in the dilated main pancreatic duct of the pancreatic body, along with dilatation of the upstream main pancreatic duct and chronic pancreatitis that was due to obstruction. MR cholangiopancreatography and an...
متن کاملDoes Computed Tomography (CT) Overestimate Common-Bile-Duct Diameter in the Evaluation of Gallstone Pancreatitis?
Background Acute pancreatitis is a common reason for inpatient admissions in the United States with around 300,000 admissions annually. Gallstones are the most common etiology for acute pancreatitis, and may be associated with a dilated common bile duct. The diameter of the common bile duct is commonly assessed with ultrasound, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Methods A retro...
متن کاملDiagnosis of Meningitis Caused by Pathogenic Microorganisms Using Magnetic Resonance Imaging: A Systematic Review
Introduction: Bacterial meningitis is an acute infectious inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain. Its early diagnosis is vital because of its high morbidity and mortality. It is mostly diagnosed by a gold standard diagnostic tool i.e. Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) analysis. However, it is sometimes difficult and or impossible to do this procedure and an alternative diagnostic t...
